Effective date: November 7, 2026
These are the rules the Funda app displays in Profile > Community rules. They also apply to the Funda journey on WhatsApp and to web forms.
Rule 1
Report a fact, not a person.
Not allowed on Funda
- Naming, photographing or accusing a person who can be identified
- Posting addresses, numbers, plates or personal data
- Images of victims, violent or sensitive content
- Any content that exploits, sexualizes or endangers a child
- False reports, spam, advertising
What moderation does
Automatic check when posting, temporary hiding when many people flag something, immediate hiding as soon as a single flag for abuse of a minor is received, human review, and a record of decisions you can see if you dispute one.
Funda does not replace emergency services
In immediate danger, contact emergency services first. Funda informs people nearby, it does not intervene.
Sanctions at a glance
Sanctions go up in steps:
- a warning;
- then 24 hours read-only: you can no longer post;
- then a 7-day suspension;
- then a ban.
Serious content (abuse of a minor, threats, calls for violence) can lead directly to a ban. Even when sanctioned, you keep the map, alerts and access to emergency features.
Dispute a decision
Any sanction can be disputed from the app: Profile, then the sanction concerned, then "Appeal". A person reviews the decision.
To find out more:
- how content is reviewed and sanctioned: "Moderation" page;
- what is forbidden concerning children: "Child protection" page.
To flag content: use the flag button on the fact concerned, or write to [À COMPLÉTER : e-mail de contact].
