Effective date: November 7, 2026
You can delete your Funda account at any time, with or without the app. Deletion is permanent: a deleted account cannot be restored.
Funda is published by [À COMPLÉTER : raison sociale].
From the app
- Open Funda.
- Go to Profile > Settings > Delete my account.
- Read what will be erased, then confirm.
- Funda sends you a code by SMS. Enter it to confirm. This code is valid for only 5 minutes, and it can only be used for deletion: a login code cannot delete an account.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app or no longer have access to your phone:
- write to [À COMPLÉTER : e-mail de contact] with the subject "Account deletion" and the phone number of the account;
- [À COMPLÉTER : autre canal éventuel, par exemple un formulaire web ou le numéro WhatsApp de Funda].
To prevent someone else from deleting your account, we check that the number belongs to you, for example by sending you a code. We process the request within [À COMPLÉTER : délai].
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Only stopping WhatsApp alerts
If you only want to stop receiving alerts on WhatsApp, reply STOP to the Funda number. This is not an account deletion. Reply START to resume them.
What is erased
- Your phone number in plain text, your display name, your pseudonym, your profile photo, your email address and your approximate home location.
- Your profile: identity, date of birth, address, occupation, languages, identity document, medical information.
- The areas you follow and your alert preferences.
- Your registered phones, their notification tokens and their locations.
- Your trusted contacts, your SOS, help request and "Watch over me" sessions.
- Your notification inbox and any verification codes still stored.
- The link between your account and your published reports, comments and confirmations: the facts remain visible on the map, because other people rely on them, but they no longer carry your name or your account. Your personal files are erased or detached from your account.
- The link between your account and your WhatsApp number. Your WhatsApp subscriptions and the proof of your agreement (sign-up, STOP, START) are handled as shown in the table below; to stop receiving anything, reply STOP.
What is kept, and why

| The record of a transmission to the authorities and of your agreement | To prove that the transmission was made with your agreement | [À COMPLÉTER : durée] |
| The moderation decisions and sanctions linked to your account | Record of decisions, appeals, fight against abuse | Audit log planned for 3 years. [À COMPLÉTER : confirmer] |
| WhatsApp proof of consent (sign-up, STOP, START) | To be able to answer "why did I receive this message?" | [À COMPLÉTER : durée] |
| Data requested by an authority in ongoing proceedings | Legal obligation | For the duration of the proceedings |

Data kept by others
- Crash reports already sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) contain no number, no location and no content. They are linked to an installation, not to your account. [À COMPLÉTER : durée de conservation chez Google]
- Messages already exchanged on WhatsApp remain in your WhatsApp app and with WhatsApp.
