Funda must be usable by everyone, including people who are blind or visually impaired, people who have difficulty touching the screen, and people who have difficulty reading. This statement covers the Funda app for iPhone and Android.
What the app supports
- Screen readers. The app is designed for VoiceOver (iPhone) and TalkBack (Android): buttons, switches and headings are labeled, and purely decorative elements are skipped so as not to repeat what has already been said.
- Voice control. Controls have a readable name, which can be spoken to activate them.
- Larger text. The app follows the text size chosen in the phone's settings.
- Dark mode. The appearance follows the phone's, or can be chosen in the app: light, dark or same as the phone.
- Color never carries information on its own. A status, a severity level or a prohibition is always also conveyed by text or an icon.
- Contrast. Text and control colors are chosen to remain readable on both light and dark backgrounds.
- Reduced motion. When the option is turned on in the phone, the app reduces its animations.
- Vibration. It can be turned off in Profile > Settings.
- Voice note. When writing is difficult, a report can come with a voice note of 30 seconds at most.
- WhatsApp. Funda can also be used through WhatsApp, which has its own accessibility settings.
Languages
The app is available in French, English, Lingala, Swahili, Mandarin and Arabic. Arabic is displayed from right to left. Some texts remain in French: Funda's WhatsApp messages and official alerts written by the team.
Video and audio
Funda does not offer video. There are therefore no subtitles or audio descriptions to provide.
Known limitations
- Faces and license plates are blurred automatically on iPhone and on Android (with Google Play services). Without these services, or if detection misses an area, blurring is done by hand, which can be difficult without sight.
- The base map (streets, landmarks) is an image: screen readers do not read it. [À COMPLÉTER : préciser si les faits de la carte sont aussi présentés en liste]
- [À COMPLÉTER : résultat d'un audit d'accessibilité indépendant, s'il en existe un, et sa date]
Report a barrier
If any part of Funda is inaccessible to you, let us know. Tell us your phone, the screen reader or setting used, and the screen concerned.
- Email: [À COMPLÉTER : e-mail de contact]
We will reply and, if we cannot fix the problem right away, we will work with you to find another way to obtain the information or the service.
